Is Las Vegas a good place to live for families?

i lived there for 2 years. the positives were: theres plenty of work, housing is affordable, utilities are cheap, food is reasonable, there is no state sales tax or state income tax so you keep more of what you earn. the negatives were: there is too much crime, loads of desperate addicted people, corrupt police department, too hot in the summer time, and CONSTANT wind. personally i wouldnt recommend it.
