No. There is no mention of masturbation in the bible. The Catholic church calls masturbation "Onanism" After the biblical story of Onan. He married a widow and when having sex with her " spilled his seed on the ground" so that she would not have children. His sin was not masturbation , however, but cheating a widow, because if she had a child, the child would inherit the widows, first husbands property. God struck him dead.

Depends on how you interpret it. It mentions sexual impurity many times but exactly what it is refering to is someone unclear. While the sin of Onan is in my opinion most defintately more on the side of disobediance for not impregnating his dead brother's wife, because that is so evil.
Then again Jesus did mention that fornication and adultery begin in the heart. So any sexual feeling not associated with marriage could be associated with sin. I think that regardless of religion masturbation is a healthy practice and fear of such a thing is inherently unhealthy and needs to be stamped out.

Although some Bible teachers like to say that the Biblical account of Onan "spilling his seed" on the ground was an example of masturbation, this is incorrect. Onan, in Genesis 38:9, allowed his semen to fall to the ground rather than implant it in his brother's wife.
What! His brother's wife? Yes, in those ancient times the primitive cultural lifestyle made life precarious. Men often died leaving wives without children. Then the brother was required to marry his sister- in- law simply to ensure that his brother's family name and inheritance would stay in the family. That is why Onan was having sex with his brother's widow. He selfishly decided he didn't want to foster children for his brother and at the point of climax practiced "coitus interruptus", in order to avoid impregnating his dead brother's wife.
Masturbation is taught as both bad and good within the Christian church. Some extremely conservative Bible teachers say that to relieve oneself sexually is "sinful" or wrong. Others teach that it is a safe method of getting rid of sexual stress harmlessly, without having premarital sex, or adulterous (married to other partners) sex.
From a Christian/Biblical perspective, for those who desire to please God...masturbation has several inherent dangers:
1) It can lead to addictive behavior, especially if combined with any form of pornography
2) Subsitituting masturbation for sex with a spouse has ruined marriages
3) Masturbation, because it usually involves fantasy, can cause a husband to desire the air brushed photos of a magazine model rather than having a healthy sexual relationship with his imperfect, but loving wife
4) Also because it usually causes imaginative visualization, it becomes a form of "adultery" by Biblical standards. Jesus said if a man looks at a woman with lust in his heart it is the same as actually having had intercourse with the woman. It all boils down to heart attitudes.
Since psychologists say that both men, women, and even children masturbate there is really no way to stop it. Nor should a healthy practice of it be discouraged. Many young girls have been saved from early pregnancy by adolescent boys choosing instead to masturbate to posters and pictures. This seems to be a constructive, healthy practice, and is almost always part of a young (American) male's growth process.
The tricky part of the maturation process for the young male is to be able to wean himself from his former adolescent practice and transition into a healthy sexual relationship with his chosen spouse.
The current glut of pornography in the American culture has made masturbation very popular. But pornography cheapens a civilization by denigrating the creative, spiritual act of sex, into a cheap form of entertainment.
