I would file suit against her. It's women like that that make it so hard to get convictions on the real rapists.

Ask if you can have an office meeting to address the issue. In front of witnesses, ask the girl the city and state this rape was supposed to have happened in and why she didn't report it to authorities. If this gal gets the city and state wrong, the whole thing will be settled without a lawsuit. You might have info on where you lived at the time ready.

She is either lying because you didn't react the way she wanted you to at work or she has mistaken you for someone else. I'm inclined to doubt the latter case as I can't imagine working with someone I really believed raped me.

If you know nothing happened, you should contact the girl directly and tell her that she needs to stop saying that you raped her. Tell her if she doesn't stop, you will file a suit against her for slander. I wouldn't ignore it though; like you said, anymore you are considered guilty before you can even defend yourself. You don't want to find yourself in that position, so you need to stop her before it goes any further.

Tell your employer and get it documented. If it persists then file a harassment lawsuit against your employer because she is making the workplace "hostile" for you. That is the only way you will shop these allegations. Never confront the girl directly because she will claim that you are trying to intimidate her.

I would file a suit as well. If you do it before the situation gets out of hand or in the wrong hands, it will show you are defending your honor and your name.

She has to be able to prove you raped her. I would talk to a lawyer and see about starting that slander suit.

Threaten to file a lawsuit against her. If that doesn't work, actually file the lawsuit.
