Wow, you Democrats are looney.
Iraq is not as bad as the left-wing media wants you to believe. The only way we lose is to leave, which is why the attacks on our troops are up in October and November, because the terrorists want Democrats to win the election.
I recognize the severity of global jihad and the absolute need to win the war on terror. I'm voting Republican.

I have no doubt that the Bush administration conveniently scheduled this event to tie directly to the U.S. vote on Tuesday. Bush probably believes that a lot of people will rejoice if Hussein is convicted.
I believe he's taken an inordinate risk: most people might think Hussein's conviction will only escalate the violence in Iraq. If there's more killings and bombings on Monday and Tuesday, Bush's politically-influenced strategy might back fire. -RKO-

Bush will probably try. I'm not really sure of what Bush had to do with anything. When Saddam was captured, they didn't pull our troops out of Iraq. This whole time that Saddam's trial has been going on, our troops have still been in Iraq, and in Afganistan (what the heck is still going on over there?). When Saddam is convicted, our troops will still be in Iraq, since Bush says that they will probably stay there at least through 2010. So will someone please explain the "victory" declaration, or even whatever Bush has accomplished to me? I just don't get it.

Whatever happened to that really tall dude with the kidney problems hiding in Afghanistan that is the person really responsible for 9/11? Almost seems like Bush used Saddam as a diversion to cover up the fact that he caught the wrong guy!

if Bush try to use saddam's conviction to win votes , he has once again miscalculated the mood of the iraqi people and its consequences.
---convicted saddam
--- all-out riots by Sunni iraqis
---more road side bombings and killing
---more american deaths
---more sectarian killings
---more kipnappings
all these senarios happened on Sunday , Monday and Tuesday in Iraqi , tell me , who wants to vote Bush on Tuseday .

First off Bush's administration will not be those annoncing his conviction. it will be the AP, a news agency that provides news to all of the news outlets around the world. In case, you were not aware this agency provides the news to the world. And, becuase I am one of the 'base' Saddams conviction is not going to rally me. What rally me to vote is the idiots like you potentially have power over my future.

I do not believe that it will win over voters. Although, those who already support him with spin it as a big development on the war on terror.

I really don't see how. October was a really bloody month and Bush isn't running for office. Also, all the main GOP seats are pretty much secured. It is convient suddams verdict comes in two days before the midterm election, though. Its not a publicity stunt.
