ONly when I accelerate too quick from a complete stop. Is it the tranny or something else?

does it bang into gear? is it a taurus or windstar? cracked forward piston.

Yes it is I have the same prob, before I got it fixed and evenn now on a rebuilt tranny...get it checked out, maybe you should change the fluid, it makes it run a little smoother

What car?
Is it a one time jerk or does it constantly jerk while accelerating.
Check your engine mounts...if one is broke the engine will raise up on one side and then slam back down...depending on which side is broke.

More than likely differential.
