Why do celebs give their children such weird names?

I mean, normal people don't give their children names like "Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof", so why do celebrities?

They just want to be unique and get attention. I know what you mean, it bugs me how they could name their kids such weird names!!! I feel sorry for the kids when they grow up.

As many people have said, I think it is so their child will be unique and remembered. I mean, look at Apple, Gwenyth Paltrow's daughter. 20 years from now, people will know who her mom is when she starts her own acting or singing career. Also, the publicity people get when they name their kids something weird is insane. Some parents named their kid ESPN and they were all over the internet. It's sad people use their kids to be all over the news.

Because celebs are Weird.

With money comes power to do absolutely anything you wish.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

With respect to corruption then people become out of touch with reality, and feel God like as for the most part they make there own reality as they wish it to be, and loose regard for others.

Once they have lost regard for others, they then behave as though they are better then most other persons, except those other persons which like themselves have also been corrupted with money, and power, and also have the ability to make there every selfish wish there desire.

With respect to corruption of money and power then, these people seem to be Weird compared to the norm, because with lack of consideration to what others think, they have lost all inhibitions to maintain a standard behavior which most persons observe to be rational.

Then it is only a matter of time in which the norm whom look up to these celebs, and wish to mimic there behavior, also become weird like them and adopt there behavior

once these behaviors have been adopted by the norm, then all of these weird behaviors become the norm and our society will fall because there are no longer any normal persons left to sustain a healthy balance with in it, as those persons whom control the money, control society.

P.S. just because celebs have become out of touch with reality, and create there own reality to be as they wish it, does not make them bad people, and there are many good celebs, and there are also many which maintain a healthy balance.

I also look up to some of the celebs. and we are all human beings, even when we are disconnected from reality.

Because they are not in touch with reality any more. They cannot imagine themselves or their children ever being in a normal person type situation so never think twice about giving their children a moniker that bullies will lick their chops over.

First, people who make it to celebrity status might be, in general, a bit more socially free-wheeling than the average person. Secondly, they understand that a catchy name will draw more attention, and that is part of what "celebrity" is all about. And some, just like the regular population, are just plain weird! ;)

celebs are weird, they just want 2 impress. But i don't think normal ppl don't give their kidz only normal names. Cuz this means they have no imagination. So give ur child a strange name ;)

I think they are trying to be unique by it & also setting the children up to be reconized by the first name only like Madonna, Cher especially if they follow in their parents footsteps.
