There are hundreds and hundreds of different cells starting with plant and animal cells. Just think of yourself: there are cells that make up your skin, muscles, nerves, bones, and several different types of blood cells. Then we have the internal organs such as liver and kidney and sensory cells such as in the eye (e.g. rod cells and cone cells) and in the ear etc.
As for plant cells, some are of a basic design while others are very specialised e.g. the ones you may find in stinging nettles.

Just how much do you need to know about all this in Year 7???

there are lots of different types of cells. there are specialist cells e.g. cillia cells, red blood cells and stem cells. there are two other types of cells: animal cells and plant cells. the main difference is that plan cells have a cell wall and cell membrane where as animal cells just have a cell membranre.
