He is a man, and I'm sure he knows all about a girl/womans period. Sure it would be a little imbarrassing for him to know that YOU are on your period at That certain time but dont let it worry you.
You can take Ibuprofen, it works really well with the pain from cramps. Also wear a pad with a tampon just incase you are bleeding heavier while running.
Being active while on your period is the best thing. If you take the Ibuprofen to take away the cramps, then you wont feel that bad while running.
Next week will be a new week and you wont be on your period. so this week wont matter.

Get over it little girlie. He knows that girls have periods. Astonishingly, all men know that women have periods. It's not news to men. Wear a tampon, use a supplemental pad, and tell your PE teacher that you might have to take it a little easier than normal. Try to run all 8 laps. You might surprise yourself.
I'm guessing that you simply don't want to run the 8 laps and that you're looking for an excuse to be lazy.

I know it can be embarassing to tell a man that you are on your period. However, I have found that men are often times confused about women's periods and the fact that every woman experiences it differently. You can use this to your advantage. Be brave, tell him you are on your period and the cramps get worse when you are involved in strenuous exercise. If this option is too embarassing you should get a note from your mother or the school nurse.

He knows females have their periods. Just say "this week is not good for me to run, I am uncomfortable in telling you why". Leave it at that, if need be go to the school counselor and get a written note or have your mom write you an excuse. It is really not that big of a problem.

Just tell him. He either will be mature enough to get it, or immature enough to be embarassed by the entire conversation. Guys of all ages get freaked out by teenage girl's girl-problems.
