Okay, I saw that movie a couple of days ago. I have to say that it was a good movie but I want to know what you guys thought of the movie. Honestly, I think that the mother was very stupid, The father was okay, the she cop was just fine but why did they have to kill her. I was upset with the ending of the movie. I mean Why did they not get to go home to see their father? why did they have to do that?!?!?!?!?! I am so mad at them! Anyways I just wanted to know what you all thought, I mean you guys can leave LONG answers if you please.

Yeah I agree with you - the movie didn't have a happy ending and I thought it was stupid if you ask me. The whole movie was interesting but I had no idea why the lady got killed or what was even her purpse. Overall I give the movie a 5 out of 10

The father was the stupid one, the mother was doing what she actually had to do. The only way that girl was ever going to be cured was to go to Silent Hill. If she didn't go she would have eventually died. After all if she couldn't be brought to the town they would give up on it. The cop was killed for being with the "witch". As to why else what did she have to do with the story as to keeping her in? It wouldn't have made ANY sense if she lived. They didn't get to go home because the little girl opened her eyes. Did you miss that? When she opened her eyes against her mother's wishes the evil one was able to overtake her. That was why they remained trapped in the other dimension, or dead if you care that idea instead. Clearly though they weren't on the same plane by the fact that the car wasn't damaged at all.
OK the air siren(alarm) never bothered me and I knew something was coming from it because it was used where I was from to call volunteer fire dept in. So kinda like well something is coming. Anyway I already gave the answer to why they were still cursed so can't really add to explain that. Short answer though was they brough the girl in to kill out of anger. They were part of killing in anger, bloodlust.

Let's see.
Well I thought it was an interesting movie.
And I don't know why they were punished in the end.
I mean, they killed the BAD guys, right?
So why were they still cursed?
Cursed enough to never be in the real world again...
I didn't understand that part.
And OH... that freaky alarm that goes off and everything goes dark..... that's creepy as hell. LOL!!!
I've ALWAYS been freaked out by those alarms and that didn't help it at all hahah.

because the whole idea of the movie is that you can never escape the horror of silent hill it is your very own personal hell torturing you for your sins but they didnt make that very clear my opinion is play silent hill 2 the game then it will all become clear,like just look at the symbolism of the characters like the rapist care taker being punisded for his wrong doings by becoming a mutant

i think the movie is really cool because it shows how the mother is ready to give her life up to save her daughters,and it shows that an inoccent kid's anger turns to be evil
