This is one of the reasons that I will no longer buy Craftsman brand powertools. Sears has them built with nonstandard parts, so you must get repair materials from them. They make them difficult to disassemble or reassemble, so even simple repairs require complete tear-downs. And, I've found the quality to be severely lacking compared to other brands of comparable products across their entire line. Also, Most other companies will post free PDF format copies of Owners Manuals for their tools online but I did a search for you and could find nothing. I would be willing to bet that if someone did post that Sears would sue for Piracy of intellectual property rights.
