I have always dreamt of owning by own business and would really love something I could do out of my home. I create gift baskets for family members every holiday season and have so much fun being creative with it. Any advice or start-up tips current business owners could give me?

Hey there,
Pick your area, or a couple of different areas. what kinda of baskets do you want to do and have people know you for those types. Candy , cheese, wine, gifts, favors, ext.. ext.. Ones you have those down . then you will know where to go.
Might help to drop some off at a few offices ( talk to the people upfront before you bring it in) depending on your area that you live and what your baskets are go to the offices that you feel will get the most out of your product. Leave a couple of business cards behind as well. Put one on e-bay maybe letting them have a pick out of a few different baskets.
there is all kinda of fun things to do. Just make sure that you don't give up on the first try it may take you a few times to get your product out there.

You could start out by giving away some of them to people in corporate places. This will help you to set up corporate accounts if they like them. Make friends with the receptionists as they are you way in the door. Give them a free basket it doesn't have to be anything fancy just something small and cute with a couple of things in it that they can use.
