..talk to a civilian lawyer. It was reported today that: "A suspected terrorist who spent years in a secret CIA prison should not be allowed to speak to a civilian attorney, the Bush administration argues, because he could reveal the agency's closely guarded interrogation techniques."

Obviously Bush doesn't want the world to know what torture techniques he authorized the CIA to engage in on his "war on terror". When America's treatment of other human beings is so bad that it has to be hidden from public view we have reached a new low.

Yes I am concerned, but Congress rolled over and it is legal to torture....which I think makes us all the more unsafer. Think of a soldier captured and getting tortured.

it somewhat is the american way; kill a load of danger loose people then blame it on somebody else. Shoot down a jumbo sized airliner and kill some hundred passengers? Blame the pilot. massacre a village finished of girls and young infants? Blame 'rogue factors'. Drop a pair of sensible bombs on an air raid take care of and incinerate some hundred people? Label it a munitions sell off and say it substitute right into a real objective. Carpet bomb a defenceless u . s . a . for years and kill over a million/2 a million people? Blame it on the Vietcong. Drop a 500lb bomb on a marriage in Nangarhar, killing 39 women and young infants? Say it substitute right into a Taliban accumulating. the country's motto ought to desire to get replaced to 'It wasn't my fault'

I don't know about the whole torture thing, but I do know it's not easy to please everyone.

When having a responsibility like being the President of the USA its a big deal.

For instant you have everyone who wants safety and terrorist free zone, I too, but you have a group here who does not want soilders to go out and fight for safety and the government to tap into our phone lines to keep us safe.

(personally a small thing to give up to keep the ones we love safe phone privacy).

It's a difficult task to accomplish, trying to please and different races, with different opinions, and answers on how to run the country better. Talk about tough.

I do not know about the things they say he does, but I do know being the boss of America is pretty hard.

the best answer to your question is to talk to some of the people who lost their son daughter husband or wive in the W,T,C, or one of the planes that was hijacked by these poor terrorist,
you bleeding hearts who are crying because these terrorist are supposedly being mistreated, Why are you not crying because of the treatment given to our prisoners in our prisons or jails? they did not blow up a lot of people 99% have never killed any one, most are there for stupid things like narcotics, lying on a loan app; or school loan, some for being drunk, hitting a cop or some gov, employee, very few for violent crimes, yet they are beaten, put in solitary confinement for minor offense such as failing to be in a certain place at a specified time or ? in our jails they are beaten trying to get info on other people etc, deprived of proper medical and decent food etc, Yet I have not heard one word from any one to complain about their treatment, It is all about some damned terrorist who is trying to kill us or our families, destroy our country and our faith etc, some how this picture doesn't seem real, one mor Item, if you don't believe me check with the medical facility in Lexington K,Y, fed, medical wher people are dying every day due to the fact the gov, says the needed medical treatment cost to much, and they won't let the prisoners family pay for the needed treatment.

Every time you think Bush has reached a new low, he sinks deeper.

Bush is a War Criminal and a truly pathetic excuse for a human being.

Hello, terrorists are not citizens. They are military prisioners. Read the Constitution.

Bush does not want the world to know how we get information out of terrorists because then they would be able to prepare for them. Ever think about the consequences of what you put out there???

The guy should have been shot already.

Why should I want him to have a civilian attorney?
I can't afford one if I need one, and I have lived here and served in the military.
