Yes, about many things(I had really crooked teeth until I was about 28!)...I've learned that when people make fun of me that I don't have to let it bother me. If I am living my life to reflect the love I have for God and what I am doing is honoring Him, then I don't have to care about what people think of me.
Have a great weekend!

All the time, I've had people laugh at me for what I do for a living, they say that being a dog trainer will get me nowhere. I've had people make fun of the way I dress, I dress the way I want to and not for anyone else. I got made fun of because I did well in school. For me being made fun or or laughed at made me more determined to be everything I ever wanted to be.

Don't you hate it when some people make little put downs remarks to you & then laugh & say they were joking, even though you know they meant every word?
I hate when that happens!
I had a sister-in-law that used to make little digs at me like that & laugh & tell me she was joking or kidding.
She doesn't play those games with me anymore. The last time she pulled that laughing & said she was joking, I looked straight in the eyes and ask her " if you are joking , then why aren't we all laughing"? That stopped her in her tracks!

When i was younger. I was sensitive at that time because i am darkskinned with curly black hair, big thick glasses and skinny frame. They made fun of my clothes, my hair, my skin (tar baby, jiggaboo, etc.) Yeah it hurt big time but now, if they would have called those words today, I would laugh at them. Beauty is skin deep; unfortunately in this superficial world, it's a never ending struggle to be accepted because you are not ideally beautiful or perfect.

Yes people think I'm kookie but I'm not. I walk with a limp (bad
right hip) from carrying my mail bag on my right side and having
it hit against my hip for ten years. No body says anything but it
seems when I come in the library they always spray air freshner
and I get uptight about it and get cleaned up, put on after shave
but I still have this complex about it.

They laugh about my height-- I'm 4 foot 11- and my small size... It's funny though in a way! :-)

Let's see...I'm over 50 (that's 1); I'm handicapped (2); overweight (due to the handicap limiting exercise) (3); I love cats (4) and have a strange-ish accent when I'm tired (5)

Yeah. They seem to find reasons!
