When you make a U turn you have to make sure that the oncoming traffic is not coming through the same intersection . You are so posed to yield to the oncoming traffic before making the turn. the oncoming traffic has the right of way at all times when you make a left turn or a U turn at a intersection! It was you that are at fault as you cut in front of the car that was on that side of the road.

Tricky one, in rear end collisions it's usually the person behind who is at fault for driving too close for their reaction times etc. However, it sounds like you may have entered into the lane too close in front of the oncoming traffic and maybe he had no space to avoid you.

I'd blame the oter guy, coz i think you're cute.

Sorry, but if you do a u-turn in front of oncoming traffic it's your fault. I doubt if u-turns are actually a legal manoeuvre in most urban areas of Canada and the USA. I certainly would not do it.

You are at fault. Failure to yield to oncoming traffic. They had the right of way if you pulled in front of them when they didn't have enough room/time to slow down to accomodate them.

sounds like you were hit in the front of your car, which means you had not fully "entered the lane".

The person's who hit you. They could have slowed down to avoid the collison.

If it was a "legal" u-turn, you should not be at fault.
