We both do. It's not like it is a trade off but we discuss things and make decisions together; especially money. Sometimes one of us will have more of an inside view of what should be done and sometimes the other will have a strong opinion; so we work it out.

Usually, we agree on things but it has taken us 9 years to get to this point. We do have the same values and we both have pretty much the same ideas about money, family, etc.

It takes time to get to trust your partner and also to know how they feel about situations. I am the most strong willed and pushy but my husband (a tyrant; in a good way) is the most informed about money, while I am better with the people aspect of things. Somehow it works and we are happy without arguments or discord.

The one that make the most compelling argument. We are both willing to relent if the opposing view has merit. As we would like to minimize errors, we are a reality check for each other and always respect each others views.

Marriage is the art of getting the last word, but making your spouse believe he or she got it.

Im my marriage I think it depends on the situation.....Usually we try to come to some kind of agreement together, even if it is just we agree to disagree.......otherwise it could go either way.

i have been married for 20 years. i have come to the realization that most issues are more important to my husband than to me. i express my opinion, but i know that he won't go along with it until he is 100 percent convinced it is the right thing.
