She hasnt gotten her period in about a month and weve been trying for about 2 months to get pregnant. Is it possible she could still be pregnant even though the test came out negative?

Hi there. The answer depends on what kind of a test your girlfriend had. If she had a blood test and it was negative then your girlfriend is not pregnant. If they did a urine test then it could be wrong. The urine test works by detecting the HCG in the urine. There can be several reasons why it could be wrong, but basically it is just that the levels for one reason or another were not strong enough to be picked up by the test. The blood test is much more sensitive and much more accurate.
I would advise you to ask for a blood test ( if that is not what they did) or to wait another week or so and try the urine test again.
It would seem to me that if the test continues to be negative but your girlfriend still does not have her period, some checking should be done to find out what is wrong.
Good luck and I hope you eventually get the answer that you are hoping for.
Blessings
Lady T~

Not likely. The stress of trying to have a baby can sometimes cause her period to be delayed. You can buy a test for $10 at the drug store, go get one if you're thinking she could be pregnant. But enjoy trying, don't stress about it. The more your stress the harder it will be to get pregnant. Have fun with it!! Once a baby comes the fun stuff gets put on hold some for a while.

Yes it is possible. The best pregnancy test to have done is a blood test. I'd give it another week and try another urine test, but the blood test would be the best way to go, theres no denying that test.

Yes it could be possible. You can wait like another month and if she still hasn't started then go back and take another test. Maybe by then she will have already had symptoms of being preganant.

Go for a blood test, then you'll know for sure.
