The nameless, faceless sub-humans who control our federal government from behind-the-scenes had two lame reasons for illegally and unconstitutionally invading Iraq: 1) The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Hussein ever since Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized for not 'finishing the job' at that time; and 2) Dick Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer.
If Hussein is condemned to death tomorrow, there will be no justice. It might be a victory for the Bush dynasty, which will record the event as an historic win over an evil dictator. But, in reality, it will be a hollow victory that only the Bush family will savor. The rest of the world will view it as a travesty of justice, and a mockery. Hussein's death will not stop the civil war in Iraq. The United States will be viewed as even more of an 'evil empire' than it is today, and the world will see our nation as a bully instead of a world leader and global peacekeeper.
Hatred begets hatred. Bigotry begets bigotry. Killing begets killing. War begets war. George W. Bush has trashed this country's status as a world leader; it's no wonder so many other nations are considering their own nuclear weapons of mass destruction. They see it as their only defense against the bully Bush.
The most tragic thing about this is that Bush will declare the death of Hussein a victory, when - in fact - he, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, and all 535 members of the most incompetent, contemptible, cowardly, arrogant, corrupt Congress in U.S. history, should ALL be hanging right along with Hussein. -RKO-

If he receives the death penalty tomorrow he will not be the only one.The state of Iraqi society today is not due to Sadam and it should be Bush and Blair who should be swinging in the gallows.

Ok, time to focus and to be serious, here.
I think that the majority of Iraqis will welcome the news of Saddam's guilt, and death sentence. I bet there will be widespread dancing in the streets, when he's hanged, all of them knowing that finally, that beast is dead, and cannot, will not be back to torment, to terrorize them.

But overall, the Kurds in that land, against the Shia and the Sunni factions, believers, may instigate a civil war, and try using Saddam as a martyr in that cause.

Don't get me wrong-- I fully believe that a great majority of all Iraqi people will rejoice, when Saddam hangs lifeless from the rope, if convicted tomorrow..... But other, lingering, simmering-under-the-surface disputes will become paramount in the eyes of the leaders of different factions, Muqtada al-Sadr, being the chief instigator here-- and there may be a civil war among Iraq's population..

God, I pray not...
These men, women and kids do so need to see a good, happpy future for themselves!

Death to the tyrant... It will go up for grabs for a while...because the sunni muslims support him, but they are also outnumbered by every other faction of muslim religion in Iraq.

Long term....he needs to die, if for no other reason to send a message that his actions and anyone elses that do the same thing will not be tolerated.

In america, we kill our terrorists... they should too. Just because they are home-grown doesn't change a thing.

He will hang. They will beat their chests and the women will wail for the TV cameras, then he will be forgotten.
