Ugh. If you lived in Finland you'd get a place to live until you find a place to rent (80% of which will be paid if you are poor) as well as given living support.
That, and the harsh winter, means that we have virtually no homeless. Here, anyone who is willing to fill in a paper are entitled to live.
Don't you have relatives who are willing to house you? And even if you think they wouldn't, you should still ask.

How come you havent been referred to the Department of Human Services. It sounds like you would qualify for public assistance, food stamps, and subidized housing. I know you are immediately eligible for a medical card just by walking into a public aid office. I know because I was a caseworker for 30 years. Why do you have to be out of the Sal Army by Monday. Cant they let you stay until you have contacted Public Aid? In the meantime, since you are on the computer do a search under your city name and add homeless help to the search. Such as Galveston+homeless+help I am sorry that many of your answers are critical with cracks about getting a job, etc. and I understand that you have not discussed the circumstances that put you where you are but people can be cruel.

I am genuinely sorry to hear of your situation. Surprised to hear there is a limited stay at The Salvation Army. Also surprised they cannot guide you. Hope you are not kidding about this because many people are in fact homeless and living impoverished lives.
Couldn't help noticing you entered a (?) at the heading of your question. Now I'm wondering just what your question is.
If you are serious - the suggestion to you would be: 1) contact your local congressional or senatorial representatives. 2) Also you are in our beloved President's home state - see if you can contact a member of his or his Father's staff for assistance. I don't think they'd want your tale of woe out there at this time (just days prior to an election) which threatens to unseat many of HIS flock.
If you are serious - my condolences and hope that you will find work and shelter. If you are not serious - I offer you pity simply for your lack of knowing how to apply all of your wasted sick energy.

My suggestions:
Ask for help from family for say a month to get yourself off the streets.
If you are drinking or doing drugs stop, no one will want to help you. And your babys heath depends on you staying sober
Go to a Family Resouce Center or Womens Center in the area. Both will help you.
Go to Churches. Most churches will help with meals, food, and sometimes lodging and jobs.
You need to get a job, any job for now. Both of you. Fast food jobs are easy to get to start.
Then you need to save every penny. To get a roof over your head you need a deposit for a rental. If you can not get a rental and do not qualify, I suggest looking for alternates.
If I was homeless I would buy a small trailer or RV to live in. The climate in Texas is mild and you can hook up in an RV resort for about 200 per month. It is a great way to get off the street and start over. You can find a cheap Trailer or RV in the classifieds for even $1,000. You can save this in one month if you both get jobs.
You are too young too ruin you lives. You are worthy of a better life, just find it. It is out there.
Good Luck

Try and stay with a relative if possible, otherwise go to a public place such as an airport or shopping mall, they generally don't forcibly remove you. A job should be the first thing on your list of needs. Without money you will remain homeless forever.

There were not nearly enough details given for all of you to give such harsh judgements. If I were you I would find a womens shelter for now. I know it won't help your husband, but he is young- he'll be fine. Worry about the baby. Go to your local hospital and ask for assistance- they should be able to lead you in the right direction. If they can't help ask a church for help.

I would try to find a new shelter and a job. If you can't work, tell your husband to go find a job and have hope. When there is a will, there is a way. Believe in God. I wish you best of luck.
