.....there's gonna be introduction of days like "Grandparents' Day", "Step-parents' Day" etc? I actually heard rumours that some countries are doing it already!!!!!!

There is already a grandparents day in the USA. It was on Sept. 10th this year.

There already is a grandparents day. It may or may not be true. Hallmark thought of mother's day and has been making millions since. The large card companies usually market these things in a small test area to see how they go over. If they get a good response, you will find it all over the world because card companies are in the business of making money.

Yep, America has had Grandparents day for some time. Never heard any reference to Step-parents day, but if the card companies see that, they'll probably get that in the works.

You can bet a pound to a penny that the Americans will start it. Another industry driven idea to make you buy the card, buy the gift, send the flowers etc!

I saw in Clinton card an advertisement for Grandparents day, we've missed it - sadly!

It could only be in America. I think the best thing would be to have a "send a card" day, then you could send a blank card to whomever or to whatever it is you want to remember or be remembered by with your own special message inside.

I've seen cards in the UK for years already about Grandparents day.
I just look at them and snear.

I don't know where you live but there is a grandparent's day in the us, I don't know about stepparent's day
