SCIENCE FICTION Everyone ignores sci-fi however in truth that a few books are virtually part philosophy. Read Stranger in a Strange Land by means of Robert A. Heinlein, Prey by means of Michael Crichton, and 2001: A Space Odyssey or Rendevous With Rama by means of Arthur C. Clarke. Plus, I agree that Agatha Christie is a need to-learn. After Shakespeare and the Bible, she has bought essentially the most quantity of books global ever. Her nice are And Then There Were None, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Murder at the Orient Express

The time traveller's wife - niffenegger.
It is absolutely beautiful, I loved it so much, it's the sort of book that appeals to all ages. Also, I read somewhere that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt loved the book so much they bought the rights to turn it into a film, but then split up, so that probably won't happen. Go on, read it, it's gorgeous.

i really like anything by Dan Brown, yes the DaVinci Code is excellent but so is Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress and Deception Point! i couldn't put any of them down! another i've recently read is Mayada, Daughter of Iraq by Jean Sasson. It's about a woman who was imprisoned in iraq, under Saddam, for no good reason really. very interesting. I also really enjoyed the Celestine Prophecy and The Tenth Insight, both by James Redfield. it's spiritual adventure type. well, hope i've been of some help.

It depends on what you like reading, there are some great true life crime books, which is what I like reading, but also like Stephen King, and also Beverly Lewis, her books are very interesting, and shed some light on the amish people, she has series of books, and some singles.........also love Love stories, after reading grisly true life crime, I need a lighter reading book, so I alternate between those and Love stories. Visit your local library and take some time to browse and find what sounds interesting to you, if you like true life crime, there is a great website, called http://www.crimelibrary.com/ try that, I love that site. Happy reading, hope this helped.

"Night Watch" by Sergei Lukyanenko was real pulpy but I enjoyed it. "The Scar" by China Miéville was really cool, too. "In the Eyes of Mr. Fury" by Philip Ridley and "Blood and Water and Other Tales" by Patrick McGrath were both pretty good, too.
I'm in the middle of Dickens' "Bleak House" right now, along with Spenser's "The Faerie Queene." I'd recommend the first to anyone (because it's Dickens and you can't get away with not reading him) but "The Faerie Queene" is a bit of a slog. I like it but I'm weird like that.
