It is the nature of this forum, unfortunatly. I log on when I have some down time at work. I do so, with the hope that we can engage in an intellectual debate about the issues, and so I can learn other points of view. What happens, almost every time I log on, is that after reading or answering a few questions, I just become more and more irritated at the slams, the bashing, and the downright blatent namecalling.
I had no idea, before I came here, that my position on Iraq- that is that I think we should relook at how we are handling it, and bring our troops home, made me a "supporter of terrorists".
I had no idea, before I came here, that my Pro-Choice position made me a "baby killer".
The list goes on and on.
Whenever a negative issue is brought up, regardless of side, the bashing starts, instead of intelligent conversation. It's really too bad.

Personally, I haven't. As for Foley, he did something questionable and stepped down. For me, the news value ended after 3 days.

Foley is staying in rehab for more treatment but for alcoholism not for the real problem he has. Will he ever admit his real problem?
You have permission to say Republican and Foley as a reminder for those voting on Tuesday. We did not send Mark to the Repug's he went on his own. I give you a thumb's up today.

I have not given you a thumbs down on any of your questions.
I do however skip many questions about this now because I am tired of seeing them. Perhaps this is why.

The republicans got rid of him, quick. But the democrats can't get enough of him.
Why is that?
