Hello there. Congratulations on your pregnancy. It is a very exciting time in your life and I hope you are enjoying it.
I had five babies and because of some medical problems that I have I had quite a few ultrasounds. There were only two cases where they could tell me the sex of the baby.
You are far enough along, it is just that it is very possible for the baby to be in a position that it is difficult, if not impossible to tell what the sex is. It is very easy for the baby to just be lying in a position that makes it so you can not see what you need to see! (if that makes sense!).
Don't be too disappointed if they cannot tell you what you are having (other than a baby!).....you will be able to tell lots of other wonderful things about your baby from the ultrasound.
Good luck and Blessings to you and your baby.
Lady T~

Ohhhh! Congrats! I'm so excited for you! I will soon be 5 months and can't wait to find out! But doctors and online sources have all told me 18-20 weeks is the earliest to detect. Some said 16 at the EARLIEST. but Good Luck! and Once again, Congratulations!

I found out at 5 months. But they put a big question mark over it and would only say 80% chance that it's a boy. So when he was born we still weren't positive till he popped out.

Well, it also depends on the baby, some of them dont want to show what sex they are, some of them let the whole world see so they can prepare themselves, jajaja, but just go and check it out, and see if the little one is cooperating. good luck, and congrats.

I think I was about thirty weeks pregnant before they could see it because my baby kept hiding or closing her legs. But I didn't find out until she was born. That was the coolest thing. The suspense was killing me though! Congrats girl!
