I have a whole list of favorites, but i'll only name a few:
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (awesome true story of journalist Hunter S Thompson who sadly committed suicide a while back)
City Of God (another true story about the the different paths two children's lives take in Brazil)
Fight Club
Green Street Hooligans
Sin City (the sheer beauty of the technique is mind-blowing)
American History X (hard-hitting and not for the faint at heart)
Nightmare Before Christmas
Requiem For A Dream (brilliant brilliant BRILLIANT, but also very depressing because it's so tragic and brutal)
The Crow
Yeah, these are probably my favorites.

The Crow with Brandon Lee. It's a great story about tragedy and revenge, and sadly Brandon Lee's final performance

The Saint.
I watched the tv series...
I think this is one of the best movie ever produced.
Silence of the lamb is also really high on my list... that include American beauty, the 6th sense & Fight club.
