If her ears appear tattered, it's due to the fights etc. Some other cat injured them, and tore up the parts of the ears that make them stand up. If they look normal otherwise, she could be part lop. There is a breed known as 'lop' like rabbits. I'd guess from your other info she's had them torn up in a fight.

My friend adopted a cat who had caved in ears. It was from frost bite. So sad. If you live in an area that has a colder climate, this is how the cat got that way. From being a stay in the cold. The ears are the most sensitive skin on a cat b/c it is so thin and it has so many blood vessels in it.

I had a cat for 22yrs, he looked quite funny because his right ear was stuck flat against his head. Unfortunately when he was about 5 or 6 he got into a fight with another cat and his ear was scratched.
A few days l8r we noticed a large lump, the vet said it was a cyst and he was operated on and his ear was taped down so that he couldn't scratch and pull the stitches out. Once his ear was healed it just stayed stuck down. Didn't seem to bother him.

No I haven't. If the ears are all scarred up you can deduce it's been mauled over in fights. If they aren't take a look at some cat pics and see if it's a breed that has caved in ears. Good luck Cap'n.

Sorry about your cat. I've had cats that were deaf. Did you know that a pure white cat with blue eyes is either born deaf or will go deaf within a year. This is true. If your white cat has any color on it then it will be ok or other eye color besides blue it will be fine. My cat was snow white with a blue & gold eye, but her kittens that were white with blue eyes were deaf.
