They say you shouldn't eat too much seafood while you're pregnant, but lately I heard a news story that the benefits of fish outweigh the risks. I would still be careful not to eat swordfish, as it's a bottom dweller and basically absorbs all the settled wastes of other fish. Because of that, it can be toxic if eaten too often, even for people who aren't pregnant. It's advisable to eat it only a few times a year, so I wouldn't recommend it at all to a pregnant woman,

It was probably not anything you ate, but a good thing to stay away from is deli meats and soft cheeses or hot dogs. They can cause Listeria. If you do eat deli meats from Subway for example, ask them to heat them very well before you can eat them. Also some types of seafoods. You can look it up online and they wil tell you which type of seafood has too much mercury in it etc..

My OB told me not to eat Pineapple and Papaya. He said that I can get all the nutrients they would provide from other fruits. He also advised against eating mangoes. These fruits are supposed to contain certain enzymes that are not advised during pregnancy. Was told that in certain communities across the word papayas are routinely used to terminate a pregnancy.

Stay away from uncooked seafoods. And don't eat a lot of fish either. (I just had fish sticks here and there) I never heard of staying away from peanuts- I ate them my entire pregnancy, and have a very healthy baby! I also cut caffeine entirely, no alcohol, drugs or nicotine. ( I also never heard of staying away from pineapple- I'd ask your doctor for a list of everything)

Here's a site you can go to for healthy eating during pregnancy-

Goodluck! And you are NOT to blame for the miscarriage.

Don't blame your self for your past miscarriage. For safety purposes avoid tuna, swordfish, and other fishes containing mercury. Ther are very dangerous to the fetus. You should also avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and be sure to take a good prenatal vitamin. It's also important to gets lots of fruits, and iron containing green leafy veggies.

Good luck!!

You should stay away from sushi totally, and only eat a limited amount of fish and seafood. It is OK, such as Tuna, but in small amounts, and not all the time. Limit you caffeine intake, and try to drink as much water as possible, just until you start to float away, lol. Try to stay away from cold deli meats, but you can consume them if they are heated thoroughly to kill the listeria in them. Heat hot dogs thoroughly as well as they contain the same bacteria as deli meats. Also stay away from soft unpasteurized cheeses such as Brie. I have never heard of staying away from nuts, of course unless you have an allergy to them, or staying away from pineapple, is new to me, but check with your doctor just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps.

it depends on your age, but do not eat salty stuff!!! OK? my older sister lost her baby boy the fifth month of pregnancy because she was craving pretzels and couldnt stop eating salty stuff. also, salt drains your boy of water, and could dehidrate you BIG TIME. hope that helps!
