I'd personally go for the Sony range of hard drive Mp3 players. But there's plenty on the market; try iPod (the opvious choice I know), Creative do several good models, Philips are another good one to look at. It all depends on how much money your willing to part with and what your looking for in the Mp3 player.

Hope to have been of help.

I have just researched the mp3/ iPod market entirely for a friend's 40th birthday present!
The one I went for is a Creative Zen 6gb. It was under £100 and has has good reviews. I know people who own them and people who own iPods. Apparently iPods, although popular, aren't the best on the market - just trendy and overpriced because of this. I've heard lots of complaints about the battery life.
The Creative one also has radio function and you aren't restricted to iTunes for downloading.
Try the link below for the cheapest I found. And believe me, I looked EVERYWHERE!

definatly iPods. I have a video one and the video quality is amazing. and the sound is great. its so easy to work and the memory is huge mine can hold up to 10,000 songs and vidoes. but i had another MP3 player before my iPod and i will never go back. The iPod is definatly the best MP3 player out there. plus their customer service is great, if you have a question they can tell you in detail how to do it and how it works. I definatly love my iPod

128MB - 2GB = Aigo! massive company in the east, only costs 58£ for a 2GB

2GB - 20GB = Sony

20GB - 80GB = Creative or iPod

Hope this helps
