Think of it as going to the beach and the contents of the universe are like the grains of sands on that beach. Now pick up one grain of sand and put it in your pocket and look again at the beach. Do you see any difference? That is the difference the earth's death would make.

How are you positive the Earth will die? It's more like its inhabitants will.
We are dinky. Nobody could pick Earth out of a picture of the Milky Way... heck, too many people can't find Japan on a globe.

Yes you are right.The earth will eventually die and the milkyway will be hardly affected by it.Its just like u take a drop of water from the ocean and then look back at it.Do you see any difference.Sadly no.This will be affect of disappearance of earth from the milky way.and also we won't be alove to know it.
