Get your insulin level checked. If it is high (10 or more in USA), then the effects of high insulin may be throwing your feminine hormones for a major loop. There is also a saliva test they can do for hormone identification.
I had DUB (dysfunctional uterine bleed). They gave the the Depo-Provera shot. It temporarily cured the problem, but threw me from low blood sugar into diabetes. I finally went to an endocrinologist who prescribed the saliva test, and I found I was high on testosterone and low on progesterone. Now I can regulate it myself (don't have to because I am past that stage of perimenopause) with wild yam cream (natural progesterone), but I am very glad I got tested - to know what was wrong.
www.hufa.org has some info on low blood sugar, and other problems high insulin can cause.

If I had bleeding for 3 weeks every month for 2 years, I would seek another professional opinion...or two....or three, until I found out what was causing the bleeding.

Could be cyst on your ovaries they act that way or could be emdometriosis. Insist on a gynecological exam. If not satisfied tell you obgyn you want another opinion. Get an ultrasound & if necessary a scan.

Get to a doctor!! You do not say if you are menopausal or perimenopausal. You also do not say how long this has been going on. What is happening to you is NOT normal. Please get medical attention and don't waste time on the computer trying to diagnose yourself. You are no good to anyone if you are dead. Love yourself enough to take care of this. You are worth it!

You should see a doctor.....You didn't mention your age.......
maybe menopause?
You need to get the bleeding checked out asap!
PLEASE call a doctor right now!
OR go to an emergency room if you don't have a doctor.
