For an upcoming concert we The awsome school band need to memorize LEAN ON ME. It is really fun. So for anyone who plays a flute or any other instruement how do u memorize music? I am having a hard time with it. The other night i sat for an hour and got to measure 21 or earlier. Need all the help in the world!!! Thanks.

PS it is hard to walk and play an instrument.

well...u can memorize the music by knowing the beat of the song...like for instance jingle bells. you can remember how to play the song by knowing the beat which is really easy. the first three notes of jingle bells are B B B. so u know that with that note the only two notes u have to hold on the flute are B and high C three times at the beginning of the song. try to remember the music by the position of ur fingers or try to remember the letters.

yeah its really hard to memorize music!! i should know i play the clairinet. what i do is i keep playing accouple of mesures at a time till i can play it without looking at the music!! i can do that with the b flat scale!! wish u all the luck at your concert!!!!
