Guppies breed like wild fire. Once a female is pregnant, it seems she is always pregnant. You can tell by the obvious dark spot in her belly all the time. And remember they are live bearers. As soon as the fry are born, the parents will turn right around and eat them. There are special breeding tanks for them. I think the gestation period is only a couple of weeks, maybe a month.
