Are things rigged in their favor so that it doesn't matter at all whether we vote or not?

If it wasn't for the cozy relationship between the Republicans and the Diebold corporation, which manufactures and sells a majority of all electronic voting equipment, the answer would be no, there's nothing sinister about it. It's just the usual smirking chimp mindless optimism.

I think it remains to be seen whether things are rigged so that it doesn't matter whether you vote or not. I think the Republicans would like you to think there's no point in you voting for other than the Republicans.

Let's not get all hot and bothered until Wednesday morning. Just go vote your conscience on Tuesday and if things stink on Wednesday, we'll take it from there.

The Republicans will probably lose around 30 House seats, 20 at least, and 40 at most. I think they stand about a fifty percent chance of holding on to the majority in the Senate. This is pretty close to most political experts assessments. In other words, it would not be plausible at all for the Republicans to hold on to Congress. For the GOP to try something "sinister" is foolish. If they try to rig the election to the extent that they retain control, there will be way too much evidence against them. They won't be able to cover up something that big! So George Bush is probably just thinking wishfully again. Then again, he might actually wishfully think that he can get away with stealing these elections!!

I know what you mean. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I was thinking more along the lines of another terrorist attack, but on the news this morning I heard that Saddam Hussein's defense team is protesting that they have not been able to finish presenting their case or make closing arguments because the US is forcing the court to ram a verdict through before Nov. 7th. I wonder if the Bush team is so out-of-touch that they think a complete meltdown in Baghdad will sway voter opinions in their favor here?

However, I disagree that it doesn't matter if we vote or not. Of course it matters. We, the people, have the power in this country. We just have to exercise it. I understand your concerns, but please don't stop trying!

Yes it's sinister to believe in the intelligence of the American people to wade through all your party's BS and come to the conclusion that republicans are the lessor of the 2 evils.

Democrats will raise taxes and ruin this economy that has been booming for the last 4 years.

Democrats will continue to allow partial birth abortions killing maybe the person who will invent perpetual motion.

Democrats will remove our troops from Iraq giving the terrorists a staging area where they can launch their attacks against the western world.

If it's rigged in favor of America and it's agenda for freedom the world over I'm all for it.

You have to look at both sides once in awhile. Both parties claim that polls don't matter despite the fact that they "Both" live by them!

The polling guys have an agenda just like the politicians but worse... We pay them to predict!

When we quit using the polls to measure our politicians worth the politicians will have to base their opinions on something else. Here's a novel idea: How about the will of the people!

No it"s just a fact remember the exit polls of 2004, thy had Comedian John Kerry winning by 20+ percent. Historically Democrats have to be ahead by 3% ( registered voters) to win.

No thats a bunch a crap....

No Americans can keep secrets so it would be impossible.

The republicans are very good with there base and they do not shout out and say we are going to win. They are like the N.E: Patriots. They keep it on the down low and play fair but when it comes down to it they kick the crap out of you. Conservatives are not cocky like the ultra left....

By the way Florida rules....

Assumption means absolutely nothing. It's a waste of energy. How can you know what his agenda is? Unless you have hard facts, you're wasting your time assuming. Good luck on getting the real facts.

There's always cause to mistrust the Bush administration. Disenfranchised voters, blocked access to polls, unhelpful or manipulative poll workers, delayed returns from voting machines, and lack of paper trails always seem to surface when it comes to Republican "victory" states.
