taxes, taxes, taxes. A vote for the Dem's is a vote for taxes.

Dem's want us to pay not just higher taxes, but pay everyone elses everything. Take a look in history and you can see this.Up until the last few years when the R's took over, who has had control of the house and senate for the last 60 odd years?!?!?!
But what gets me most is the the R's get blasted everyday for how bad this country is and it was "them" that has had control. I dont get but then again I can think for myself.

Based on the answers here, it leads me to believe that most of you think that there's no such thing as a free market. The stock market's is rigged. The oil market is rigged. It's all a conspiracy.

NEWS FLASH: Oil prices were influenced by the growth of China and India and middle east tensions. How many shareholders does Exxon have? Conoco? BP? Many, many thousands. It's true that the oil companies benefit when oil goes up but so do the people who pump it out of the ground.

Through the unrest in the middle east, the gas prices here have risen 30%. Though, the price has always been twice as high as in the states.

I thought you were the richest country in the world, yet you cannot afford to pay taxes?

Last time I checked big oil companies were in the Republocan pocket, why do you think they have magically gone down in the months before the election?

No one wants to pay higher gas prices, I find your question as ignorant as your spelling. Stop thinking in the Republican-Democrat smokescreen or go graze with the other sheep.

Your thinking of republicans, they want gas prices to go up.

As for taxes if you know anything about economics you should know taxes are good, if they're fair. Income tax and sales tax should all be the same percentage for everyone. The rich pay more, the poor pay less, and with the obvious change in the value of the dollar ultimatly no one would be losing money.

What are you comparing the prices to? What we've been paying since Bush has been in office, or what we WERE paying with 8 years of a Democratic administration? I don't know about you, but I've been paying through the nose ever since Bush decided to bomb Iraq. He's a Republican, you know.

Stupid question. No facts to support. Dittohead drool.

Ask Cheney about gas prices. Remember his secret energy meeting with the top oil execs? immediately followed by the price of gas going up $2.00 per gallon?

Blah blah you still losing on November 7.

Think it's high now , wait until Kerry and company slap on some more taxes .
5 times the liberals have called for higher gas taxes to FORCE people to conserve , not choose to conserve but FORCED to conserve .

You know, if the liberals allowed us to drill OUR OWN oil offshore and in ANWAR we would not be financing terrorism as they are funded by Middle Eastern countries.

They just want to tax gas and everything else more to spend on their own pet projects.
