Hon, didn't you discuss having children before you got married? It's an important subject to settle before marriage. A couple needs to be in agreement on whether or not they want kids--it is not a minor issue.
Some married people decide to not have children, and it is their personal decision.
Your husband wants kids and you don't. That is something of huge consequence in a marriage.
Talk it out with your husband, seek counseling.....but if he wants kids, he will probably not change his mind.

No,plenty of people are married without children - my husband and I for instance. The joys of marriage do not necessarily mean you have to produce children. Some people are very happy in their marriages without children.

Children do put a strain on the marriage.

If you want children but you do not want to get pregnant then you can adopt.

If you do not feel comfortable having children; then do not allow your husband to talk you into getting pregnant.

Raising children is a hard job and if you two do not present a united team to care for your babies than you should wait. If one of you is reticent to have children just wait until you both think the time is right.

Children are forever. They are a joy but also a lot of work, expense, laughter, tears, and love.

Kids aren't a must. But that was something that should have been decided before you were married. To some people, children are a natural part of marriage, so you may have to deal with that. Depending on how strongly he feels about having children, your relationship may suffer.

You don't have to have kids, it's personally choice. Look at Oprah she choose to not marry or have kids. However, this is something you two should have discussed before getting married. Some people can't imagine their lives w/out kids and some can. You two need to talk and figure something out because it might cause a strain on your marriage.

No there are a lot of people who choose not to have kids. You should have discussed this issue before you got married. I think that having your own child is different than liking other peoples kids. You can teach your child all the things that the other kids parents seem to forget.

No. 20% of all couples are infertile. That leads to adoption, infertility treatments, etc. that consume many people's lives. You can live a a happy normal life as a family of 2 because you have chosen to not have children or have been unable to bring children into your home. Anyone who says differently is just wrong.

I have been with my hubby for 11 years with no children. We are a family, we love to spend time with our nieces and nephews and I volunteer with troubled children in town 10 hours a week. My life is fulfilling without children and yours can be too.

You should only have kids if you both want them. They must be wanted and loved unconditionally and forever. If you never want kids let your husband go and marry someone who does because he will be very sad and unhappy in later life.

no a marriage does not have to have kids, but most people that get married have already discussed the kid issue before marriage so as not to have this problem.

A marriage doesn't always have to have children, just buy a pet or two and let them be your "kids".
