I've been teaching swimming for about 10 years and I can tell you, after all that time I STILL HATE COLD WATER! You will never get rid of the emotion tied to cold water (which is why you hate it), but you can make yourself more comfortable when first entering a cooler pool.
First I warm up with 10 mins of slow jogging on the treadmill (in full clothing-sweatpants/sweatshirt) which warms my body up considerably. Then I strip off the jogging suit and get right into the pool. The water at this point is actually refreshing, even though still cold. If you don't have a treadmill to use just jog indoors/outdoors where there is space available for 10 mins.

Well im guessing the pool isnt urs cuz if it was u would have already gotten a heater. I had the same problem, I swim on a swim team and everyday the water is freezing and the only reason why the do that is cuz ur heart gets overworked in warm/hot water and u can like die or somthihng... anyways to get over it u just jump in the water and start doing watecer ur task is very quickly then ur body gets used to the water and since ur working our by doing the task fast ur body doesnt feel cold :)

i dont think theres anything you can do, so just swim really hard and your body will get used to the cold temperature...also, try swimming in a pool with a broken heater! one of my friends was purple, AND IM NOT OVER EXAGGERATING!!! the pool felt like standing outside when it was 40degrees F and a really strong wind!!! you probably are a lot warmer than i was that week! so just swim and swim and swim and dont worry, your body will get used to it

just keep moving around.
after awhile your body will get accustomed to the water.
Sometimes, it's better that the water is cold because when you actually work out, heated pools will get much too hot.

Just jump in and keep swimming/moving. If you stop moving, you'll get cold.
Trust me, I've stayed in plenty of motels with cold siwmming pools.

Just jump right in. Flex your muscles as if you were lifting weights - slowly and with focused resistance. The urge to suddenly climb out is similar to the urge to squirm when being tickled or seeing a disturbing horror scene in a movie. Just relax your muscles, focus your mind on staying in, and don't let it bother you.

honestly that chill thing will be with you for the rest of your life. You just have to make the effort to go right in each time and take that awful chilled feeling for a minute or two.

jump in and start swimming this makes your muscles generate heat which will warm your body up after a while.
