I have awful dark circles (it's genetic--runs in my dad's family). I swear by Benefit's concealer. It's easy to apply, and you can purchase it alone, or in a little kit that comes with some of Benefit's other "fake it" products. I get mine at Sephora. Also available on line. Use your middle finger, and dab on lightly and blend. Then dust on a little powder. No more dark circles!

Wear good sunglasses that prevent uva and uvb rays. That's not a quick cover up, it will take at least a week, but you can see the difference.
Get enough sleep, and don't leave the light on in you're room, anyway.
Find a safe eye moisterizer. Don't under-estimate those sunglasses, though. They really work.
Oh, and cutting down on salt can help. Eating lots of fruits and veggies can help.
And let the stress go. Ease up for awhile, and hang out. But not too much party!
And try a pair of tinted sunglasses! They come in pretty tints that set the eyes off nicely, like jewels. Even reading glasses have nice tints, but get them in the strength you can see with! There is a chart on the rack. They only look expensive.

I have found using Covergirl liquid concealer one shade lighter than my skin works. I dab it on, wait a couple minutes, then tap it in lightly to blend. Then I use Covergirl compressed powder the same shade of my skin to cover my face. It looks brighter around my eyes, so that you notice the color and lashes (again using Covergirl mascara).
I have sleep apnea and severe depression so no matter how much or little sleep I get, the dark circles do not go away. Taking care of my skin has helped considerably and Olay age defying eye gel has helped with puffiness, wrinkles, and skin dryness. I use Olay as my face moisturizer as well, but not on my eyes. You need something gentle to use on the sensitive skin around the eyes.

Pink concealer...yes PINK. Everybody says yellow b/c it cuts the purple from under the eyes....but Pink makes the light bounce off your face and is amazing. Saw it on "What not to Wear" with Carmindy the makeup artist. Got some at the MAC makeup counter (which you can order online) and it works. Just try it and you'll see what i mean.

Depending on how much money you want to spend...........I found N.Y.C. make up that you can buy at any drug or grocery store works for me. It totally covers my redness and darkness under my eyes. and it goes on smooth too. Its in a stick form. Only like 2.00.

Benefit (mine is in our house of frasier) products do some great stuff that hides and sorts the problem. but anything that treats the problem long and short term would be in any good sttores i suppose. also make sure you sleep well and drink lots of water! this will help no end! x
