Not knowing what the other genre is, an up tempo song always gives energy to happiness. Isn't that why we sing? Maybe one of Dolly Parten's songs or Wynona's is a good idea.

Sing MMMM by the Crash Test Dummies! Its a sweet song to sing when I'm out at the bar singing karaoke! Maybe not the right answer for you though.

I think you shouold either try the song from Narnia written and sung by Rebecca St. James called Lion OR this song from the BarlowGirl - Never Alone.
Both are from Christian artists (women) and are just Amazing.
