This is frustrating! It isn't even online, and it takes itself off. The computer can not keep up with my keyboarding. I have to slow down, or the letters will appear after I have typed them, know what I mean?

Otherwise, that is just to much for the poor little computer, it goes offline again, just cause' it can't handle keyboarding.

1. Check it for spyware:

2. What kind of processor do you have, and how much RAM? You may not have sufficient memory or processing power for the applications you are trying to run.

Generally, for today's software programs, at least 512 MB or RAM and a processor with a speed of at least 1.8 GHz are considered optimal. (To find out what your system has, go to the Start menu, right click on My Computer and click Properties; your RAM size and processor speed should be listed under the General tab).

3. You may be trying to run too many programs at once for the size and configuration of your system. If you can't upgrade RAM or your processor, try making sure you close down all programs except the ones you are using.

4. Sometimes all you need to do to jump-start a sluggish computer is to clean it up! Right click on My Computer, click Properties and, under General, click Disk Cleanup. When Disk Cleanup has run (just click Yes until it runs -- don't worry about the "are you sure"? stuff -- it's fine), go to the Tools tab and defragment your disk.

Hope this helps.

The first poster makes a valid point you may also want to check your preferences. If nothing works that have been suggested, I would consider taking it to a computer repair shop. Hope this helps.
