I've heard it over and over but am not quite clear, in the song "I would do anything for love" where he sings "but I won't do that" what is it he won't do....

It's the phrase at the beginning of each verse that he won't do. GOt to listen carefully or check out VH1 storyterllers where he explaons it.

what a common question.....meatloaf has answered that question many times......he won't do what the begining of the verse says....really listen to it....
it's kinda like listenint to scarbourough fair by simon and garfunkle.....they are making a song about two people in a conversation..and what will do for the other when it comes to love

He is saying that if she sleeps with him, he won't dump her. (Lose respect for her.)

I had that record Album, I love him, That phrase but i wont do that, I guess he is refeerring to , He wont have an affair with anyone else but her, He is answering back, He sings but i wont do that, Answering his wife, maybe? I do beleive? However he will Do anything for love, But i wont do that,
