I am raising money for jeans for genes by joining up with Sparklen Enterprises. I pay £10 a month and they pay me £5 a month for every member I get to join them. I also get £0.25 a month for every member in the five levels below those that I refer. I make about £6000 every month this way and I choose a different charity every month.

This is the perfect way to raise money because it doesn't really cost anything. £10 isn't much and, if that is too much, I can always keep £10 of the earning and just give the rest.

All you have to do is pay the £10 each month and refer as many people as you can, and you can earn tons. If you have fellow workers for charity, you sign them up and they will be helping you to earn for a charity.

If you want further information or if you want to sign up, email me on rosiebelinda@yahoo.co.uk

Congrats on wanting to do something for two very worthy causes!

If your hospital has its own hospital radio station how about asking if patients across the hospital can ring and pledge any amount of money to have their choice of record played?

As someone said sell your stuff on eBay (which might be going a little far) you could ask the staff at your hospital to donate things for an auction or raffle.

But don't go door-to-door collecting - it's illegal, dangerous and can be upsetting to older people.

Silly hats day, where everyone has to wear some kind of funny hat and donate £2.
All the male staff dress up as female staff and female staff dress up as male staff.
Gather as many people together as you can and have a sponsered sing. Everyone has to sing the same song at the same time, its an amazing feeling hearing everyone sing together and makes money :)
Have a week of all the traditional fundraising activites!
thats all i can think of right now, but good luck with raising money, its a worthy cause!

my brother and I got two planks of wood approx 1meter in length. attach a pair of shoes to the wooden planks....one on one plank one on other towards the front..then a pair towards the back...have you and a friend put the shoes on! you are now attached to the planks and also each other. My brother and I walked around for 5 hours like this dressed as clowns. we had sponsors and also many people donated on the streets. I like to do something as a challenge and feel that ive earnt the sponsors as it were..if that makes sense. also get the local newspsper to come and take a photo and you could also get support from the local radio station which kept broadcasting it throughout the day!
