How can we know where would we be... if we don't have maps?

Back using a compass and using the sun in the day and the stars at night. As far as I know throughout history we have always used maps of some time no matter how primitive.

Funny you should ask.I work for a permitting company.We do jobs for oil companies.I have recently been learning mapping.I love it.We have to map the area that they are doing seismic operations in.I have been with this company for a little over a year now.I was just a database driver but am learning more everyday.

buying xtra petrol or asking people the directions as i cant read maps unless its a motorway i can find them almost ok although i drove past the heathrow turn off once when i needed that turn

I don't think we would be as well travelled as we are - lets face it we would probably still be living in the same place we were born and grew up unaware of what lies just out of sight

maybe like before columbus discovered the america people think world was flat.so i probably gess u would fall off the edge or in a toilet haha
