Our enemies are always emboldened when a Democrat nitwit opens his or her pie hole to badmouth our troops (Kerry,Murtha,Durbin) or the war effort in general. This is a fact that these idiots just don't understand. Kerry's comments about our troops has spread throughout the Islamic world like wildfire.
There is nothing wrong with dissent, mind you, but it ought to be done in a way that doesn't send the wrong signal to the enemy. But sadly, the Dems are just concerned with winning elections and not with winning this war.

Who really knows what the "terrorists" think or hope for? The truth is that the Bush "strategy" has played right into their hands, i.e., that the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq has been the greatest recruitment tool for Islamic extremists ever conceived. The U.S. strategy not only drains the country of resources and manpower, it shows the Islamic world that the Americans are determined to occupy and control Iraq no matter what anyone in Iraq thinks (the overwhelming majority of Iraqis want the U.S. to leave, sorry folks).
It's actually most likely that the terrorists hope that the Republicans stay in power indefinitely. They benefit from the politics of polarization and extremism. The more the U.S. appears to them as a "Great Satan," the more young people in Islamic countries will flock to militant/terrorist organizations.
And here's a challenge to those of you who think that Bush's "stay the course" makes sense: if this war really is as significant to the future of Civilization as Bush says, then why doesn't he go "all out" to win, including raising troop levels significantly, etc.? To do this he would likely have to institute a military draft, increase taxes, and actually ask for sacrifices from the American people. But hey, if this is really crucial to "our" welfare and future, a true statesman would do this, no?
The truth is that Bush not only is delusional about the true situation in Iraq, he ultimately just another politician. He believes in the rhetoric of toughness and resolve, but he doesn't want to really take any political risks that might damage the rest of his agenda at home.

*laughs* you're not going to stir me up with that Partisan nonsense.
There are some Democrats AND some Republicans that would make things harder for Americans and easier for Terrorists. Individually I see some Conservative AND some Liberals with some very good plans to change the situation for the better.
Very few candidates seem any good in general though. Hopefully everyone will pay attention and not vote blindly for a party.

As if we should just ignore those people and they will go away? NOT. That they would vote Democrat tells you something rather clearly. They believe the Democrats lack backbone and commitment to any principles. That the Democrats will shrink and allow the terrorists to gain strength and control throughout the middle east, and more than that to gain influence throughout the world. They do believe that everyone should be Muslim. That includes all you atheists etc.
I think the leaders in the terrorists groups spend a lot more time and effort thinking how to defeat us than most everyone who is against the war and GWB. This is what they are committed to and live for. Meanwhile people here are committed to what? Gameboy?

Maybe. However, they should remember that many politicians change their minds and their stances on issues once they are elected.
We Americans have always complained about politicians who "sold us down the river" after they got elected - right?
Maybe the Terrorists are not paying attention to our history.

Okay, for a second, imagine you are a terrorist leader. Al Jazeera asks "so, who do you like in the american mid-term elections"? What do you say?!
Seriously...are we supposed to be polling these guys to help us make our decisions?!
At this point, in case you haven't noticed, unless someone proposed cloning Cheney and Bush and maybe (we don't know how he's feeling right now) Barney the presidential dog for seats in the congress as GOPs, even the GOP is questioning the stay-the-course course.
But what should joe terrorist say? We hope friends of Bush get voted in, because we want to see more bloodshed, we want to see more dead iraqis, we want a full-blown apocalypse!
That doesn't play so well to their 'base' you know!

Well, when the political platform talks about 'withdrawal,' of course the enemy wants them in office. It's the easiest way to claim victory. It also puts the US in a situation where the enemy sees the American people as weak, not just the politician...
It's well known that the enemies of the United States attacked us because they believed the people of this country to be weak. There was a thought process that we would end up tearing ourselves apart after the attacks. Instead people of all walks of life rose up together to say 'no.'
If the people of the United States vote in candidates that follow through with premature withdraws of troops, we will be viewed as weak, our enemies will rebuild, and we will be open to direct attacks, again.

The terrorists fear a change from the status quo, which at the present time they are winning. So they boast about what they will do when Democrats take over, so as to attempt to convice small minded people that Democrats are weak. You fell for their rap, so what does that make you?
You heard it from their lips OK, you just are too narrow in vision to read between the lines.

Yes, the terrorists will be emboldened by a Democratic Party victory. The terrorists know that the democrats want to kiss their *** and give them anything they want. The terrorists know that the democrats will negotiate with them.

Let me put it this way - I believe a Republican win will represent our resolve in defeating these dirt bags and will be a crushing defeat to their tactics of ramping up their violence prior to the elections.
That being said, you can easily draw your own conclusions as to what a Democratic win will mean.

Stop pushing out Neocon propaganda. The Neocon Republicans were obstinate about continuing this invasion, they are responsible for the citizen deaths, vile actions against prisoners of war and the thousands of US soldiers who have been killed and maimed.
You can always tell a Neocon operative because they blame Democrats for everything that the Neocons do. Help the Republicans by getting the Neocons out of office.
