It seems to me that Britain has more of a problem with antiSemitism than the US. What's the deal with this? Could it be that the demonization of the Jews as being "Nazis" eases the guilty conscious of the world for letting the Jews die in the Holocaust? The Jews, after all, occupied Israel first until expelled by the Romans in 135 AD, and yet the world pities the "Palestinians" who had no sense of "Palestinian" nationalism until Israel was born in 1948. Makes we wonder . . .

Let's say the British were expelled from their land and forced into exile for a long time. Other people moved into the land and when the British came back, they wanted it back for themselves. Do you get my drift?
Also, I know you're not an anti-Semite for criticizing Israeli policies. It's why are you critizing them. Is it because you don't like the policies or because you don't like Jews?

No they are not. The Palestinians are just a band of displaced Arabs of different tribes having a go at Israel. If they left Israel alone there would be no trouble. The Palestinians are egged on by Syria. The British and Americans should support Israel and not a stupid bunch of Arabs that deserve all they get! The trouble is that the lefties and poofters and dregs of our own society support Palestinians to take the heat off themselves.

I'm British (Welsh) and not in the slightest bit Anti-Jewish.
I don't trust Muslims though. In fact I have a real hatred for the fanatical sector of their religion after 9/11 and 7/7.
Considering the Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis I find it hard to think of Jewish people as being NAzis.
Its Muslims I feel more apprehensive about. Thats not just because of media propaganda but personal experience.
I grew up listening to my Hindu friends' parents talk about Muslims attacking and massacring people in Punjab. Where I live half the rental property is owned by Muslim landlords who rip off their tenants and are involved in dodgy dealings.
I've had 2 Muslim Landlords - one (a crook with loads of aliases) stole a lot of money from us, sexually harrassed me and left us with no heating in the middle of winter. The other constantly put our rent up and left us with a leaking roof in January!
A friend of ours was attacked and beaten unconcious by a Muslim guy (who got away with it)
I've met some horrible Muslims - really nasty arrogant racist bigotted types and its put me off the religion as a whole. They have real hatred and disdain for Britain and British people
You feel real bitterness towards these people coming to the UK and exploiting British people like this. And when their brothers start letting bombs off in London well thats just the icing on the cake.
I'd take Jews over Muslims any day!
As far as I can see Muslims are always whining about something. If its not Palestinians its Iraqis or British Muslims whining because they can't wear veils.
My sympathies lie with the JEws not the Palestinians.

hey buddy
the palestinians have been wronged alright
U dont punish a person for his/her ancestor's crimes committed 1000 yrs back.
well, u don cry over wrongs done to ur ancestors 2000 yrs ago either.
anywayz why dint the jews assimilate themselves in their nations of residence over these past 2000 +yrs?
these r questions no-one wants to answer.
the europeans- they never liked the jews- forced them in ghettos n all. discriminated n treated badly- got rid of jews 1st opportunity in thegarb of resettling them- threew them outta their own countries into a stretch of badlands, marshes n desrts- surrunded by the enemy
Only reason y the europeans r still helping them are:
1. Guilt feeling
2. Fighting their war against the Islamic ppl
Well, the jews/ israelis do have their right to defend and live decent lives.
the word is 'peaceful co-existence'- something neither the israelis nor the palestinians seem to appreciate, both being quite militant.
Talking about palestinian nationalism, where was jewish nationalism all these centuries?
y dint they organise themselves n come back? no pains, no gains- thats the fact of life.
now wen theyve been expellled by their hosts- yes, the jews have done a darned gud job of greening the deserts, marshes n badlands
1 of the most industrious nations on the globe- very nationalistic populace, ya ol dat n mebbe much more. kudos to that nations ppl n leaders.
well , it's an endless thing - millions of arguments either side.
let's stop it here
best wishes

It strikes me that the Israelis have been persecuted since the beginning of recorded history. Why is not immediately apparent.
I always remember what an old Palestine police officer told me many years ago. He had served in Palestine before the Israeli state was formed and the land was all desert. He returned not long after and found that a remarkable transformation had taken place - the desert was blooming because the Israelis had the will and the foresight to see that the land was not barren but was viable agricultural land.
Of course, the Arabs who had lived there for an eternity were did not have such foresight or such a work ethic. The Israelis, however, loved their land and made it blossom and bloom.
Since 1948 the Arabs have been trying by various means, both military and terrorist, to displace Israel. They must know that they will never succeed. However, they love being victims and yesterday saw another cynical act by them. They had been cowardly firing rockets at innocent Israeli civilians for days. When the Israelis confronted them they were too cowardly to fight, so they hid in a mosque and, ultimately, called for women to help them escape. They knew full well that their actions would lead to bloodshed but, of course, they knew that a couple of dead women would aid their cause in the media.
Look around the world. It is not America, Britain or Israel that are the problems: they are trying to be the solution. The major problem facing the world at present is Islamic fundamentalism - NOT Muslims in general - and the sooner they are defeated the better. They are a problem all over the Middle east, in the Indian sub-continent, in the USA, Britain and recently France.
The world would be a far better place without them.

No - that's not it at all. The world pities Palestine because of the criminal actions of the few people running Israel. Most Israelis' see the evil their government is perpetrating against the Palestinians.
No one really thinks all Israelis are bad people. Just the government. Perhaps the perception is different in other countries. And if there are doing this, then they are wrong. Just like in the US, the whole media is pro Israeli - that is also wrong.
The IDF has killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinian people for several years - how come no one talks about that? For years they have driven the Palestinians out of their homes. This is not ok. This is a criminal act and must be recognized as such.
The suicide bombers are also committing criminal acts. And they too much be condemned and punished. Because killing innocent Israelis is simply not ok.
But don't you dare lump the Palestinian people in with the suicide bombers. When the Palestinian citizens pick up a weapon to defend their nation, they are doing it because of the act of Israeli aggression. And this is completely lawful and just.

Israel is nationalist - no one can argue with that. It's socialist - I mean they have cooperatives and Kibbutz and Nazi stand for Nationalsozialistischespartei so I suppose the answer is yes. They also traded arms with South Africa during Apartheid and were alarmed when BLACK Jews from east Africa turned up on their doorstep.
We can of course ignore the fact that, when the present state of Israel was botched together after stealing land from those already living there, most of them came from Europe or the states with a different education and a lot of financial support. Sure they made the desert bloom. Where did the money come from, where did the know-how come from? Half truths don't work any more.

As in all conflicts, there are two sides with differing views on something...Israel and Palestine just one of the many...what pees me off is the interferring, opinionated morons who talk rubbish just for the sake of hearing their own voices, and who stir up more trouble than there already is...a negative attitude and criticism will help no one, and prolong hostilities between any opposing factions, who will then feel they have to gain "brownie points" by doing something different, or by escalating their offensive..why don't these idiots apply the following rule...If you havn't got anything helpfull to say...keep your mouth shut.

More people died fighting against Germany in the second world war, than died in the holocaust. What's to feel guilty about in that?
The Jews were atrociously persecuted and ethnically cleansed in Germany during the holocaust. Does that give them an excuse to do the same thing to the Palestinians now?

People should read this link about the actual history of Israel/Palestine as too many people these days believe the history as shown in the media rather than reading the real history. Please read the link below and see if your opinion of the Jews as an invading race changes.
