Like Joe Friday on Dragnet?

I don't know what you're basing that on. I have two nephews, and a brother in the military right now. One of the nephews is the Joe Friday type and has been promoted to crew chief on one of the thunderbird's planes. The other is almost the opposite he could best be discribed as wild and crazy. He is a TacP which is a tactical air controller, calls in air strikes to support ground troops. The P is for paratrooper, he went to the same jump school as the army paratroopers. Now he is assigned to the 82 airborne, with a Ranger company. Has made one trip to Iraq and is planning on going back.

The brother is more like an Alan Alda type from Mash. He is a Navy corpsman assigned to a Marine unit currently in the Wild West of Iraq. He carrys weapons and is not shy about using them although corpsmen are discouraged from getting too involved in combat that's not really their job. He will treat and care for anyone that needs it, Iraqi, terrorist, or Marine, because that's his job. His current trip to Iraq is his 4th, he sincerely likes the Iraqi people and wants them to have a chance.

Their are lots of people in the military with lots of reasons for being there. Although its prefectly human to try to catagorize and sterotype people, you must remember despite what the liberals say, we really are all individuals with our own individual reasons for the things we do.

The "type" of person's personality who goes into the military and serves the country could probably be determined through a Myers-Brigg or Keirsey Temperment Sorter. Likely, such a test would find that your average recruit is a person who wants structure, and takes and follows orders given from authority (platoon leaders, commanders etc.) This has nothing to do with the *intelligence* of the person. Such people do well in jobs such as law enforcement. I would imagine that if somebody did not have those traits going into basic training, they would either adapt to develop that personality....or end up dropping out. The military depends on having people who can fall into line. Otherwise, there would be chaos.

You obviously know nothing about the type of people that go into the military. I am nothing like Joe Friday, I went in to serve my country and protect it's people. There is not a personality associated with military personnel it is called respect for themselves and their family and country. You need not to be making such assumptions and instead try putting your words into thanking those Joe Friday's for the life and country you have.

Top 10: Myself: I would make the lovers concentrate and lead them to dangle on my each and every phrase. My wrestling type could be targeted and I would get the men and women to hate me as a snob and be very similar to HHH in 2003. Main Eventers & Superstars: I see those superstars in those customers: E&C Connection- Blend of Christian & HHH. The Clown Prince of Crime- The Undertaker Sharpshooter- HBK The Dragon- Ricky the Dragon Steamboat Clark W- John Cena Chicago Knight- Hulk Hogan Rated Silent/Violent- Kurt Angle Jimmy- Micheal Cole lol Know your function- The Rock Jordan23- Edge I suppose the ones customers would wow men and women within the wrestling global.

I spent 3 years in the Army, 1969 to 1972, during the Vietnam era. My generation went into the military with a sense of duty to our country. This was the generation in which John F. Kennedy instilled the notion that Americans owed a duty to their country. That concept seems to have been totally lost through the decades since.

Perhaps you are not old enough to be aware that the '60's and 70's during the Vietnam Era had the draft so there was no certain 'type' that went into the military.

If you are perchance trying to cast negative connotations to those who enter the military today - I would prefer Patriots.

Mostly people who aren't chicken ****, and who are open to adventure. Many people join just to be good Americans ready to fight for the country they believe in. This is the best reason, but it hurts when these true American heroes are sent to fight unnecessary wars.

Red herring. Attempt to adopt an liberal facade to smear liberals/Democrats.

All kinds of people join the military; it is often an extremely good opportunity and teaches valuable habits for life. Democrats believe this, but they do not want our military to be depleted by an unjust, futile, poorly planned, underfunded and undermanned war.
