Almost everything I go to is not responding. Can I go back to the original Internet explorer? I had no problems with that version.

Go to add-remove programs in control panel, you may have to click on the box at the top right that says show all updates.

To solve your problem - uninstall IE7 in your Add/Remove Programs.
Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Make sure "Show all" is checked.

But I can do you one better - I can show you how to get something that's like IE7, but much smaller, faster, more polished and much, much more powerful.

I'm talking about Firefox...

Free, fast, a small 5mb download, Firefox blocks pop-ups and sites from secretly installing programs on your computer. It will copy over your settings from other browsers (cookies, settings, bookmarks). Firefox is powerful too, it's more up-to-date than even IE7 according to the web standards (w3.org).

The main reason I like Firefox is because it's customizable.

Why is customizability important?

Imagine being able to do 2 small things and never seeing a banner ad, flash ad or an iframe ad again? (Remember, pop-ups are already gone)
Imagine being able to pause your computer's music player when the phone rings without having to switch to it?

Firefox puts the power back in your hands!

Yes, go to Control Panel (Under Start) then Add/REmove Programs and uninstall IE 7. I believe that is all you need to do to get back to IE 6, assuming you had that version installed before.

the answers posted would get rid of IE but that is not what is causing the problem. Run your cleaning programs (adaware etc) and then CTR-ALT-DEL and look at your processes to see what is going on. You picked up something and most of the time a simple running of your cleaning programs and a restart will clear it right up...If you do not like IE try Mozilla.
