What Kerry said was shocking. He obviously has a low opinion of the intelligence of our troops, and an even lower opinion of the intelligence of the average American citizen if he think we're going to believe his spin that he was "criticizing the president". How does it make sense to say that if you don't work hard in school, you'll end up as the President of the United States?
And P.S. to Brian who answered before me: Your comparison is ridiculous. Bush's intentions in that statement you quoted were obvious. He did botch his statement, but Kerry did not. Kerry said exactly what he meant to say, and then backtracked when his words were met with a poor reception. Ask yourself if Kerry's representation that he was referring to the president, not our troops, even makes sense. If your I.Q. is higher than your age, you will be able to see that it doesn't. He is lying about what he meant because he realized how badly he messed up.

You can thank God I was there to set the record straight on my show. You just tune in and I'll give you the truth. Keep up the good work!
Remember - Politics trump truth any day!!

Kerry was just showing his true colors. Liberals have always hated the Military. Here is the rest of his "joke":
If you study hard and make an effort to be smart, You'll do well, if not you get stuck in Iraq.
If you do neither, you end up an imbecile Senator from Massachusetts.

They must feel that way because that is the impression I (and obviously you) am left with.
There have been wars since the beginning of time and unfortunately some are inevitable.
We were BLOWN UP and attacked by foreign terrorists. We are fighting them in Iraq so they don't come HERE. They were a threat to our nation and we dealt with the problem. Dems ALSO voted for the war before they voted against it...crap. They are politicizing this war and that is SHAMEFUL.

I don't know if most believe the military is filled with idiots but I do know that most hold disdain for the military. So you are correct in your conclusion as to why more democrats are not condemning kerry because they don't support the military.

Much ado has been made over Kerry's botched 'joke.' And it's just the kind of thing conservatives will jump on. I personally don't know anyone who thinks the U.S. military is filled with idiots, unless it's the brass who give wrong advice.

Your Neocon leaders have already used Kerry as a cover for all of their immoral behavior and fiasco policies.
The Kerry matter is over. If you are a true Republican, you will do everything to get the Neocons out of power so the Republicans can take their party back.
Republicans need help. Quit pushing out Neocon propaganda and read this article:
