People who are opposites attract, just like people who have a lot in common also attract. I think it depends on the people.

In the same way as like man and woman are opposites and attract : they compliment each other and what one does n't have the other does. It also provides some balance in extreme traits that one or both may have (if they are opposite traits).

It's often been suggested that the more moral of the opposite couple tends to think that he/she can mold the less moral individual into a better person, of which is proving to be a big mistake, for only a change can occur when and if said individual decides to make changes to better him/her self...

I don't think that opposites attract.
I have been out with girls who I have nothing in common with and it never lasts whereas when we have more in common, the relationship is held for much longer.
I think people want to get together with someone like them and this is not an ego-maniac tendancy either.
