Stephanie, it wasn't that long ago that people (liberals) on this site could talk about NOTHING except for Foley. Oh sure, there were a few that spoke out and said it was ridiculous, we should focus on more important things, but MOST did not.
So now that the tables have turned, and the conservatives have some ammunition, they're USING it. And they have EVERY RIGHT to use it, after the Foley debacle. The only thing I don't agree with is classifying all Democrats to be the same as that moron, Kerry. I don't believe that for a second. There are many great Democrats.
I hated it when the Democrats accused all Republicans of being the same.
That said, we DO need to focus on what's important:
Iraq
HEALTH CARE
poverty
education
illegal immigration (yes, that is important!)
the judicial system
welfare
taxes
terrorism

After those, the Kerry and Foley debacles pale in comparison.

What are the important issues of liberals. Stripping away more freedom. Confiscating wages and property to buy votes from non workers. Regulating the amount of water per flush of toilets. Disrupting the economic system by rigging prices. Disarming law abiding citizens and leaving thugs and criminals armed. Cultivating dependency by providing government handouts to the unmotivated. Converting the public schools into government operated Marxist indoctrination centers. Mandating fuel economy standards on automobiles which resulted in the light weight cars that have caused an estimated 40,000 additional deaths since the standards were inacted.

I think most Americans have had their fill of fear and warfare. The issues in this mid-term election are unimportant. What you are voting for in the mid-term is change or keep things as they are. If the Democrats win a majority, it isn't going to change much in the way of Democratic programs being pushed through. What will happen is the Republican leadership will get the message that Americans want a policy change and we want it now.
My fear is that the Democrats don't win a majority this year. If they don't and things continue to go badly for the next two years, that could set the stage for a Democratic clean sweep in 2008. That would be a disaster.

democrats support raising the minimum wage which will only raise the price of everything we need to survive and bring the standard of living down for everyone. The minimum wage is a starting point. If your raising a family on minimum wage your not owning up to your responsibilities.

I'm a conservative and I don't support the way this administration has lost their veto pen on spending bills but with the 2 party system we have we have to vote for the lessor of the 2 evils.

Oh, you mean like calling Bush everything from a monkey to Hitler?
Or blaming Hastert for something Foley did?
Or claiming our government was responsible for 911?
Or Michael Steele, a black Republican running for the Senate in Maryland being attacked by liberals because of his race, being called Oreo and Uncle Tom?
Or members of the Minuteman Project being attacked and shouted down on stage at a major university?
