The old pics and videos r still in the Adobe, but just couldn't view or watch the videos.
I had tried to save them to a thumb drive, i thought i could save all, but when i open it again, it was nothing there. Can a professional retreive all of them, in my case?? tks for all ur answers. appreciate.

Well there are several methods for transfering files from one PC to another. If both PCs are using Windows (any version: 9.x - XP) and both have a Network Interface Card (NIC) or Port on the back, you can use a "Cross-Over" network cable to move files from one machine to the other. The OS mentioned above has setup wizards so you can get everything working. You only need to buy the cable since Microsoft has already included the software needed. Remember to use the HELP feature with Windows for mor information on setting this up.

If the PC in question does not have a NIC, you can add that to the shopping list. Most likely the cable will cost more than the NIC these days and they are easy to install and configure - follow the instructions that come with the NIC.

You did say you deleted them from the hard drive, so I agree with taking the computer to a professional to see if you have not written over the deleted files yet and get them back that way. Then after this you should have back ups for pics, movies, etc. Use flash drives or CDs to do this.

A thumb drive. I do it all the time. I saw thumbdrives in Office Max recently for 9 bucks. You could just grab the pictures or other files whenever you have time. I just grab mine when I need them.

Don't try to save them all at once. Just go with 5 at a time and see if they save.

If you have the internet on the old computer, send the picture file to yourself as an attachment. If it doesn't maybe you can hook the old computer up to the internet just temporarily to do it. You can also save the pictures to a flash drive where you just plug it into the USB port.

take the pc to a shop and ask them to find te deleted pics.. and don't use the pc too much before you do that, because new stuff will overwrite the pics. I am afraid only a professional can retrace deleted items on a hard disc...
good luck!

Either a USB memory key if the PC has a USB port, or floppy to transfer the files off.
