Sounds to me like you need to put them out NOW if only to protect your sanity for the next two months of worse-than-usual mall music!
This is why I do my Christmas shopping in July and all of my family and friends own a collection of truly becoming tropical-themed shirts, courtesy of weemaryanne.

My husband passed away right after Christmas two years ago. It snowed two feet that day, and it hasn't snowed in 21/2 years since. I don't have him at Christmas anymore, but I put my tree up when I choose to and take it down before Easter if it doesn't snow. I drink out of Christmas cups and eat outta Christmas plates when I want to and as often. Do what you want to in your own house and for your own personal reasons - its not up to anyone else to judge or critize. If it touches a place in your heart and makes you happy and comforts you - or you just want to be different, don't worry about (being in style or doing something at the proper time) - thats your decision and judgement to make. To make life a little easier, however - try not to affect neighbors and general population by keeping tree in front yard decorated all year and lite up - keep it to yourself and inside. Just a thought! However, with the "Bah Humbug" I'd say you'd like to ruff a few feathers and the quicker the better, so why worry about it being too early?

The only reason they put out the Christmas decor already is because no one seems to care enough to buy Thanksgiving decorations. I think it's a little early to put them out. Wait at least three days after Thanksgiving before decorating.
Sometimes, It's expensive to buy decorations, I know! But, if you hit up a consignment shop or maybe a garage sale (you won't find many in this weather) or even a moving sale! Maybe some salt and pepper shakers or some inexpensive chachkis! But I think just hand towels aren't enough for the most wonderful time of the year!
I am so happy to have the opportunity to help you out! Good luck to you and your loved ones throughout the rest of your days!

Well, your question made me smile. And I want some of those towels!
Here in the UK some stores had Christmas displays up and running at the beginning of September, when the temperatures were still in the upper seventies and sunshine was wall to wall. To hear Christmas music at such a time was really off putting. Who wants to think about log fires and mulled wine on a day when an ice cold drink is more appropriate?!

That is really sad. How can Christmas not make you smile. I'm sorry you are such an unhappy person. I've been listening to Christmas music in my office for a couple of weeks. It just makes me happy!
Anyway, I've worked in retail. People don't realize how much time and work is involved to get holiday displays ready. This is why you see stuff out so early. Also the fact that there is a demand for it! People actually want to get a jump on the season.

No... by all means get out the towels. And, dont try to kid a kidder...you should also put up your inflatable lawn grinch, your upside down santa in a chimney and ALL your "Nightmare Before Christmas" decorations....while your on a roll, you might buy a tree and bake some cookies ....live large make a front door banner "Down with ELVES!" ..... rofl
as for me, I am staying pretty much, OUT of the stores....

Lighten up. Don't be a dim bulb. The only thing those hand towels are good for is wiping off the rain, dear. Showing your spirit is a real gift to all of us, drinking your spirits is even better. Be a good egg and use your noggin. Invite Tom and Jerry over for a drink of hot buttered rum. Beware of scam artists, however. You could get scrooged and have your wife give you the Dickens. I always spend my day after Thanksgiving in the shopping malls. After a hectic holiday of family and friends, I just want to be in a place where I can be by myself and relax.

All of my hand towels are specific and carry symbolic meaning. the single interior the kitchen good now could be crimson with pastel hearts on it- and that i'm no longer flushing love 'reason that should make my little coronary heart unhappy. I relatively have a green one with shamrocks on it, yet i'm unsure i will replace it via Tuesday and that i do no longer prefer to get pinched. I heard scientists are chilly, and particularly, you sound like somebody who hates the full worldwide!
