I am not sure why you would want your water to break away from where you plan to deliver, but if you are at your due date and in early labor, walk.

Walking and then stopping to squat and then walking again will help the baby move into the birth canal, and if you have dilated enough, cause the bag of waters to bulge out of the cervix. I have had my bag of waters broke and walked after that, the baby delivered in approximately 15 minutes. Having the water break anywhere your not prepared for it is a mess, and if your not careful, you can slip and bust your bottom!

first off i advise not trying to rupture the membranes prematurly, they will do it on theyr own, or the doc may have to do it. If you do it it may leed to a deadly infection of the baby, and can kill the baby and the mother. Please dont be stupiud. If you think your ready then walk, walk, walk. Sex and gravity are your best bet for naturally helping labor along. DO NOT STICK ANYTHING OTHER THAN A PENIS IN THE VAGINA AT THIS POINT FOR RISK OF SERIOUS INFECTION. If waters do break see a docotor immediatly, espeacially if they are dark or discolored, that may be a sign of exsess stress on the baby.

oh my god, don't! if the water needs to burst, the doctor will do it, that's just dangerous for the unborn child. This can cause severe de hydration especially if the time is not right. Leave it to the professionals.

Wait until it breaks by itself, or if you're in labor, the doctor will do it for you. Why on earth would you want to put your baby's health at risk by 'bursting' your water?

When the water breaks is not a guarantee that labor will start. This is such a thing as a dry delivery when the water breaks too soon.

If you are concerned, contact your doctor.

Well, this isnt a very good idea if you arent very far along, but if you are overdue, or down to your last day..then the only suggestion that i can give you is to have sex. Sex sex sex. Having sex sometimes quickens up the process. lol. My husband was always to afraid because i was so far along, but we had sex twice the night before my daughter was born.....and the doctor said that it was a good thing or he would of had to induce labor himself!

Do not try. The doctor will do this for you if it doesn't break on its own. Have some patients. I know it seems like it will never come, but it will! In the mean time....sleep as much as possible!
